      Understanding the importance of bathroom amenities in guest satisfaction, we offer hair dryers, reading lights, and small sinks in several selected rooms. Additionally, some shared bathrooms are equipped with hair dryers for added convenience.

      Pin code access

      HOSTEL B47 is a pioneer in Iceland with a pin code access system. You can access the Hostel at any time of the day or night once you are given the pin codes for the Main Entrance Door and your Room . How does it work ? simply approach us at the Reception at The Lounge  upon arrival for check in,  we will welcome you and give you the Pin Codes, guide you to the facilities of the Hostel and bring you to your room. For late check in after 11:30  pm , kindly advise us and we will send you the Pin Codes through e-mail or telephone then you can check in by yourself and we will  see you in the morning !

    What time is check-in and check-out at B47?

    Check-in is available from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, while check-out is until 11:00 AM.

    For your convenience, we offer luggage storage for a few hours after check-out—simply approach our staff for assistance. If you require an early check-in, please request it during booking; however, it is subject to availability.

    For late check-ins beyond the designated hours, guests must inform the hostel in advance via email or phone. The hostel will then provide PIN codes to access the main entrance and your room for a seamless self-check-in experience.

    How do I get to B47?

    B47 is an easy to access from the airport. As soon as you arrive in the airport , you will see shuttle bus services that drive tourists or passengers to the Main  City of Reykjavik. . The most popular shuttle bus services are the the Airport Direct or Fly bus  . For example : Fly bus Terminal is walking distance to the Hostel ! About 15 minutes walk and you will reach Baronsstigur  47 where the Hostel stands .  Take note that the Main  Entrance of the Hostel is at the backside , the corner door and fronting our free Parking Area for the Guests. 

    What is the smoking policy at B47?

    B47 does not permit smoking in any of the rooms and in any part of the Hostel inside , the premises  has a very sensitive smoke alarm . But allows smoking outside the Hostel which is the terrace  with a sitting area as well. 

    What is the closest train, metro, or bus station to B47?

    There is no train  or metro in Iceland !  Iceland has only taxi and bus services . The closest bus station is the BSÍ Bus Terminal, 710 m away, approximately 15 minutes walk to the Hostel.

    What restaurants are nearby B47?

    Restaurants including Loki for an Icelandic specialty likewise the Three Coats , Eiriksson Brasserie for Italian/French cuisine, Indian restaurants around and the best one is called Austur - Indiafelagið . There are many more restaurants , cafes and fast food places surrounding the Hostel and just according to your taste buds !

    Hostel B47 is in the heart of Reykjavik . Walking distance to almost everything ! shopping places is only 7 minutes walk from the Hostel and it is called Laugarvegur where you can find almost everything, from Cafes, Bars, Restaurants , tourist informations , Museum ,supermarket and shopping center. And  if you are are aiming for a Mall in Reykjavik , there is Kringlan which is about 10 minutes drive from the Hostel . People who loves to walk , often just walk to reach Kringlan , though it will take about 50 - 60 minutes walk and it is quite an adventure !

    Guests at B47 can easily visit Sundhöllin , the swimming pool with hot tub and sauna is just beside the Hostel . Also Hallgrimskirkja , the famous church in Iceland is just across the street of the Hostel. Museums and Harbour are walking distance too. The Sun Voyager - Solfar and The Settlement Exhibition Reykjavík 871 +/- 2 located in the Reykjavik City Center area .
